Creatively Changing

All my life, I've been a seeker of truth with a strong need to know "why". I'm sure sometimes I drove my family crazy constantly asking questions and always talking about what ever was on my mind. 

 I was also very creative and often found making things out of what ever was around.  That creative side was fueled by one of my grandmothers who taught me to crochet when I was four, knit at six and helped me sew my first dress on her sewing machine when I was eight.

Long before I learned to use the machine, I hand sewed quite a wardrobe for my Barbie doll, out of socks my younger sister had out grown. But it was my need to know that drove me to explore and still drives me today.  The truth is out there, I am still looking for it and it seems the more I know, the more I need to know. This search has lead me to a places a bit left of center too.

While I have never been a renegade radical or high profile activist, my fear of authority and my parents wrath was enough to keep me from getting too wild.  I was however active in the local ZPG (Zero Population Growth) chapter in the early 70's and worked in a glass recycling center on weekends. Pretty good for a small southern city. I  helped organize, open and operate a crisis intervention center as a counselor. The center was successful  and operated for over ten years. I also worked at a center in college and worked in the medical tent for a large annual music convention.

During the early 70's  I began learning about natural healing, herbs and nutrition. I read about wild asparagus, alternative housing and devoured every copy of "Mother Earth News" I could get my hands on. I played guitar at a coffee house on the campus of the local college and protested the Viet Nam war. I never quite went for the gusto however. I lacked confidence in my self and still do. Maybe when I find the truth, my confidence will be close to it.

Along the way, I've learned much more about natural and alternative healing,  and studied several modalities of energy healing. I am a Reiki Master, Resonance Healing practitioner, aromatherapist, crystal healer, intuitive life coach and board certified Hypnotherapist. I guide, counsel, teach Reiki, crystal healing, aromatherapy and share my knowledge with anyone who is interested. Oh yeah, and I am an ordained minister too. However, this gives me no special powers or anything so keep me off any pedestals. I'm just at flawed as anyone.

Human behavior has always fascinated me. The "why" of humanity and its behavior is  the ultimate "why". I fail to understand greed and man's inhumanity to man. However, I do recognize our infinite connection to each other, all things on the planet and in deed the whole Universe. We all seek ways to better lives and heal our bodies. I believe the study of hypnosis has opened me  to a wonderful way in which I can  help people live happier, healthier, and richer lives. It has become a passion and combined with other healing modalities and knowledge, it would be my honor to work with you in anyway I can help. 

And finding the truth? well, I'm still looking
